About Me
Liz Heichelbech is a creativity coach, educator, author, and artist. Originally a professional contemporary and classical dancer, she earned her BFA in Fine Arts Studies from the University of Arizona, and a Masters in Education from Lesley University. She holds Massachusetts state teaching certifications in Dance, Theatre, and English, and taught in the Weston Public School district for over 20 years. She was a creative collaborator in her role as Instructional Coach for five years at Weston Middle School, and was the facilitator for Weston Secondary New Teacher Mentor Program for ten years. Liz was the former artistic director of Women’s Improv Group Boston. She has taught creative workshops at Tucson Medical Center, Rainbow Lifelong Learning, Weston Arts and Innovation Center, Waldron Center for the Performing Arts, Bloomington Council on Aging, and with Joy Point Solutions. She is a recent graduate of the Martha Beck Wayfinder Life Coaching Program, and is a member of the Creativity Coaching Association.
Liz’ first novel, Chopin in Kentucky, was published by Bluemoose Books in 2023, and she is currently at work on the sequel, Lost and Found at the Canary Cafe. Her first adult coloring and creativity workbook, Start Where You Art, was published by Literary Kitchen in 2024.
Liz believes in the restorative power of creative play in writing, and the fine and performing arts. She knows well how to help others access, respond, and transform their ideas, feelings, desires, and dreams. Using a blend of a life coaching techniques, personal inquiry, and guided, process-oriented creative structures, Liz is on a mission to inspire others and help them align with their most essential selves.

Coming soon! A four-week journey of mindful mark making using a ruler, compass, and stencils. Learn this amazing tool for joy, wisdom, and creative self discovery. If you can hold a pencil, you can make a mandala. Surprise and personal growth guaranteed. Materials needed include a paper, pencil, compass, ruler, optional drafting stencils, felt tip pen, and your choice of coloring media such as crayons, markers, colored pencils, or watercolors.

Insight Art
Coming soon! A four-week artventure in which students learn an amazing drawing practice for well-being, manifesting, and applying creative insights to their lives. If you can’t draw a straight line — excellent. No straight lines are required and besides, crooked and curvy lines are so much more interesting. This is creative soulwork with a sense of humor. Materials needed: paper, felt tip pens, and your preferred coloring media such as crayons, markers, colored pencils, or watercolors.

Magic Mystery Layer Painting
Coming soon! A six-week expressive, intuitive exploration in color and mark-making with acrylic paints. Feel the joy and freedom of dancing on canvas. We will delight in learning the lessons that process painting has to teach us, glean insights, and apply them to both our art and our lives. Materials needed include acrylic paints, brushes, and household materials such as lids and bubble wrap that can be used for stamping and texture.

Individualized creative sessions are tailored to your unique desires and goals. Whether you want more art in your life, more life in your art, or both, let’s do it together. A skilled creativity coach, teacher, and gentle guide helps you feel more connected, more joyous, and more supported in discovering and pursuing the passions that make life worth living!
